Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up, we (through our authentication provider, Clerk) collect your name, email address, and profile photo if you sign in with a provider like Google.

Location. With your permission, we collect your device's GPS location to show you nearby experiences on the feed and Explore map, and to power the “you're near this event” notification. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time — some features (like nearby search) won't work without it.

Content you create. Business listings (including photos and video), messages you send in Group Plans or direct messages, reactions, and swipes.

Voice input. If you use Vibes' voice feature, your spoken audio is processed to convert it to text and, for voice replies, text is converted to spoken audio by a third-party service.

Payment information. Handled directly by Stripe when you book a paid experience or connect a business account. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, not your full card number.

Usage and device information. Pages you visit, features you use, device type, push notification tokens, and similar technical data.

• To operate the feed, Explore map, Group Plans, and Vibes AI assistant
• To process bookings and payments through Stripe
• To send you notifications you’ve opted into (plan updates, nearby events, messages)
• To connect you with friends and other plan members you choose to interact with
• To improve and secure the Service, and prevent fraud or abuse

We share information with service providers who help us run XploreScene, only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Clerk — authentication and account management
• Stripe — payment processing for bookings and business payouts
• Anthropic — processes your Vibes conversation to generate AI responses
• A third-party voice service — powers Vibes’ spoken responses
• Mux and Cloudflare — video and image hosting for listing media
• Google Maps — location display, address autocomplete, and geocoding
• Google Calendar / Microsoft Outlook — only if you choose to connect your calendar
• Our hosting and database providers — infrastructure that stores app data

Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, and Viator are sources of listing content we display to you — we don't send your personal information to them unless you click through to book on their site, at which point their own privacy policy applies.

We don't sell your personal information.

Your profile info and activity within a Group Plan or direct message is visible to the other members of that plan or conversation. Reactions and “I'm Going” counts are aggregated and shown as numbers, not tied to your identity, on the feed.

• You can access, correct, or delete your account information from your profile settings
• You can control location and push notification permissions from your device settings
• You can disconnect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook at any time from Settings
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

XploreScene is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

XploreScene is operated in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes in the app or by email before they take effect.
